SAVE VUCJAK SHELTER

Following a gruesome inspection by Serbian authorties, the Vucjak Shelter was found to be clean, safe and operating with care and compassion. Despite this and the government's own failure and deriliction of duty in protecting animals, instituting or even enforcing laws to curb cruelty, they are placing unreasonable demands on the Vucjak Shelter.

The final written report and demands have yet to be delivered. However this is what has been shared verbally with Dejan last week:

- ALL DOGS MUST BE CHIPPED AND VACCINATED
- ALL DOGS MUST BE SPAYED AND NEUTERED
- ANY REMAINING SKIN AND TICK RELATED ILLNESSES MUST BE ERADICATED
- A NEW BULDING MUST BE BUILT FOR VETERINARY USE
- A ROOM MUST SECTIONED OFF FOR DOCUMENTATION
- A DEDICATED ROOM FOR BATHING DOGS MUST BE BUILT
- A DEDICATED SHELTER TRANSPORT VEHICLE MUST BE PURCHASED

The shelter will be given a mere THREE MONTHS ONLY to meet these demands or be subject to shutdown.

Dejan and team are working with partners and suppliers to put a budget and plan together to meet these demands and save the dogs from this travesty of justice.

While we do not have a clear understanding of exactly how much these government demands will cost, we know they will be quite expensive with an initial estimate in excess of $50,000.

Dejan has 3 months only to raise these finds and implement these items he was made aware of - not including what else may be in the final report.
